High Season at the Black Turtle begins in November and goes through April when the area is warmest and sunniest and also the driest time of year.

Green Season runs from May through October. It does rain daily and sometimes it rains very hard during the Green Season. During the Green Season there are fewer people traveling in the Osa Peninsula and prices tend to be lower.

Both seasons are wonderful in their own way. The Green time of year is full of new growth, cooler, and a fresher feeling. In the High Season you will find clear sunny days to enjoy the wild life in the area.

The lodge is located in an exceptionally private jungle like environment with many meandering paths through the gardens and to our beach. There are never more than 16 guest in the entire lodge at any one time.
